Soap

Soap is an ancestral cleansing product, obtained with a chemical reaction: saponification. It has a high pH, which is very effective against greases and dirts, but it can also strip the skin from its natural oils. The result? Dryness and irritation.

You can recognize soap by their name: sodium olivate, sodium stearate, sodium palmitate.

We don’t use soap in our products. Instead we combine water with a surfactant like Sodium Coco Sulfate or Cocamidopropyl Betaine. There are many surfactants with different strengths, but generally they are a lot milder than soap with a pH that is more neutral. This makes these products more suitable for the sensitive skin, especially for babies.

Surfactants we use

Surfactants are ingredients that clean the surface of the skin. They remove dust and impurities from the skin that water alone can not get off.
