Impact
Naïf Chats: a conversation with our partner Tiny Miracles
25 February 2025

When you hear Naïf, you think about making impact, right? At least we hope so! Making positive impact is very important for us. That’s why we teamed up with Tiny Miracles and designed a tote bag that’s not only convenient but also has a positive impact on the women in Mumbai that made it. In this Naïf Chats we speak with Dhriti, head of content at Tiny Miracles, about the organisation and their positive impact.
First of all, how did the collaboration between Naïf and Tiny Miracles come about?
“We like the way Naïf makes babycare worry-free and Naif likes the way Tiny Miracles is making a positive impact worry-free! We wanted to collaborate with both brands and bring those worlds together.”
“Fun fact: Jochem, Sjoerd, Laurien and Florianne all know each other from years back at University in Groningen. So the connection was easily made!”
What’s the story behind Tiny Miracles?
“Back in 2010, Laurien Meuter saw that poverty wasn’t just about money—it was about a system built to keep people stuck. She started working with the Pardeshi community in Bombay Central, teaching women and young people to create simple products. Rituals jumped in as one of our first big supporters.”
“But here’s the thing, charity doesn’t break the cycle. Real jobs, real wages, and real independence do. That’s when Tiny Miracles shifted gears and became a social enterprise. By 2022, we made it official! Tiny Miracles became a business that puts people over profit.”

How does Tiny Miracles help families in India?
“We don’t just give people jobs. We give them stability, dignity, and a future. Over 300 people in Bombay Central, MIDC, and Alibag in Mumbai, Maharashtra now earn wages that are double the local rate. That means they can actually plan for their future instead of just surviving day to day. But it doesn’t stop at a paycheck. We cover health check-ups, medical bills, loan assistance, paid leave, and mental health support. We help them get citizenship documents so they can finally access government benefits and be recognised in the system.”
“For many women, this is their first-ever paying job - which means financial freedom, confidence, and decision-making power in their own homes.”
What has been the impact so far?
“Tiny Miracles has transformed the lives of more than 300 families and counting. More than 280 workers have gotten their official documents, finally unlocking access to government schemes and benefits. We’ve run 50+ awareness sessions on mental health, gender equality, menopause, financial literacy, and career growth.”
“And we’re not just about work - we’re about community. We host events where workers share their stories, celebrate their culture, and see how far they’ve come. This is about more than jobs. It’s about rewriting futures.”

What does the future hold for Tiny Miracles?
“We want a world where fair wages and human dignity aren’t just a nice idea and that they become the standard. We want brands to step up and make ethical production the norm, not the exception.”
“Tiny Miracles envisions a future where human dignity and fair wages are non-negotiable in the global supply chain. Our goal is to revolutionize the textile and supply chain industry by setting new standards for ethical production and worker welfare. We aim to collaborate with like-minded brands to create innovative products that are sustainable for both the environment and humanity.”
“So yes, our mission is more jobs, bigger impact. Because this isn’t about charity, it’s about flipping the system. Business should be fair, transparent, and built for people. Every product made should be a badge of dignity, not exploitation. We’re here to prove that profit and purpose can go hand in hand. And we won’t stop until that’s the reality.”
