Responsible Lobbying and Public Policy Statement
Overview
Naïf supports responsible, transparent and values-driven engagement on topics related to product safety, sustainability, responsible consumption and ingredient transparency.
Naïf does not engage in political lobbying for private political interests. Where Naïf contributes to public debate, industry initiatives or policy discussions, it aims to do so in a manner aligned with positive societal and environmental impact.
This policy applies to all direct and indirect lobbying, advocacy and policy engagement activities conducted by Naïf, its employees, officers and any third-party representatives acting on our behalf across all operating geographies.
Responsible lobbying principles
- Positive societal and environmental impact: human health and safety, ingredient transparency, environmental responsibility, responsible consumption and long-term positive impact on people and planet.
- Science-based approach: Naïf aims to base public statements, advocacy and industry positions on reliable information, scientific evidence and recognised industry standards where possible.
- Political contributions: Naïf does not make financial or in-kind contributions to political parties or political candidates.
- Anti-corruption and bribery: Naïf prohibits bribery, corruption and improper influence in all business activities.
- Industry organisations and intermediary engagement: Naïf periodically reviews its participation in industry organisations and collaborative initiatives to ensure that their public positions remain consistent with Naïf's values, this policy and responsible business practices.
Governance and accountability
The Management Team, led by the CEO, is responsible for overseeing compliance with this policy. The policy is reviewed and approved annually by Naïf's Board of Directors as part of the company's governance and B Corp accountability processes.
Naïf integrates this approach through leadership discussions, stakeholder engagement, impact planning and public communication guidelines. Potential risks of non-compliance are identified through leadership oversight, stakeholder feedback and Naïf's grievance procedure. Where necessary, corrective actions are implemented and monitored.

Risks we watch
- A public statement or claim that is not supported by evidence.
- An industry organisation we belong to taking a public position that conflicts with this policy.
- A payment, donation or gift that could be seen as a political contribution or as improper influence.
- A third party lobbying on our behalf without our knowledge.
How we monitor and check compliance
- The Management Team discusses any new contact with policymakers, new membership or sensitive public position when it arises.
- Once a year, before the Board reviews this policy, the CFO checks that the log and the membership list are complete, that the accounts show no payments to political parties, candidates or political organisations, and that any concerns about business conduct or lobbying raised through the grievance procedure have been handled. The outcome goes to the Management Team and the Board with the annual review of this policy.
- If a breach is found, the Management Team decides on corrective action and records it.
